This charming privately owned waterfront home, RiverRock House, is located in the heart of the historic village of Rockport with it's own docking and swimming and yet close to the many amenities of the village.
Bring your boat and explore the 1000 Islands and the St. Lawrence River and don't forget your passport, as you are just a stones throw from the US border and the world famous Boldt Castle. There is also the Singer Castle about 5 miles east of Rockport where they provide guided tours of the castle that was first owned by the Singer family, founder of the Singer sewing machine.
There is so much to do in the area. There is a scuba diving shop and charters right in the village, several dining facilities, boat tours, swimming, walking, cycling or fishing from the dock. If you are keen on fishing for that big one there are fishing guides that can be booked by half day or full day.
The St. Lawrence Parks Commission offers many island parks to visit for hiking, picnics and swimming. If you don't bring your own boat that is not a problem there is a local water taxi service you can book to take you to the park islands for an adventure and also local personal tours can be arranged to tour the islands up close.
There is a bicycle path all along the 1000 Island Parkway for the cycling enthusiast with many picturesque lookouts and stop offs to view the beautiful scenery of the river and the islands.
The RiverRock house offers all the comforts of home with all the appliances and a barbecue and patio set on the front patio. There is a second deck at the waterfront as well as at the one at the house, where you can relax and watch the boats go by. Often you will see the original wooden boats touring the river, just bringing back the history of this famous area.
The RiverRock house is an ideal place to spend a week or two of your summer enjoying this enchanting area and relaxing. There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms on the main floor with another two bedrooms in the lower basement level as well as a large recreation room.
